Our mission is to pursue our passion for motorcycling by producing safety conscious riders who are confident in their riding abilities and who demonstrate respect for themselves, their motorcycles and other vehicles that share the roads.
We believe that the motorcyclist who develops confidence, competence
and respect today is a role model to others and will become the
motorcycle instructor of tomorrow.
We will take the program beyond the parking lot into the street. Under
the guidance and vigilance of professional motorcycle instructors,
graduates from the MSQ Program and other licensed riders, will be
introduced to limited real life traffic interactions and group riding
skill development activities. Generally people dont like to ride alone
so from a safety perspective learning how to ride in a group is a
natural extension of the riding skills taught to the individual
motorcyclist.
According to Stats Can and Motorcycle and Moped Industry there are
13,677 motorcycles registered in New Brunswick. In 2005, 2501 new
motorcycles were sold in NB but fewer than 900 students graduated from
the only motorcycle training program in the province. Approximately 240
students are graduates from the Saint John area. Even in the mid 1980s
a major American study showed that professional rider education
contributed to a reduced likelihood of collisions.
